Recruited by True Wind Capital Management shortly after their investment to develop new products and markets and lead the next level of this company’s growth. Rebranded the company and launched new services in new markets to increase growth opportunities. Secured over 200 new customers, including many of the world’s largest media and tech companies. Integrated two acquired companies and generated significant new revenue from both. Grew EBITDA by 80% over two years.

ASC SIGNAL CORPORATION (now Communications and Power Industries)
President and CEO

ASC Signal is a private equity-sponsored, multinational designer and manufacturer of highly-sophisticated communications products for broadcast, defense, government and enterprise applications. At the time  of sale, the company had international operations in 14 countries on five continents.

Recruited by Resilience Capital Partners to turnaround, build and lead this $50 million distressed acquisition. Increased equity value from nearly zero and sold the company to CPI (a Veritas portfolio company) for 4X invested capital. Ran and fully integrated the stand-alone division into CPI within 18 months of the sale.

Trialon, a portfolio company of Resilience Capital Partners, is a provider of test engineering and technical staffing services to the  automotive and other manufacturing industries. The company is based in Burton, Michigan, with other locations in Michigan and Indiana. Testing services include environmental, corrosion, vibration, and electromagnetic and radiation.

TRUSONIC, INC (now Mood Media)

Trusonic is digital music and messaging company that provides a customized, branded technology platform, music library and distribution service for retailers, hospitality companies and digital out-of-home advertisers worldwide.

Recruited by the private equity sponsor to reorganize and lead the rapid expansion of the holding company’s only revenue-producing unit. Enabled a successful IPO, subsequent acquisitions (including Muzak, Mood and  DMX) and the transformation into Mood Media.

Juke Systems, Inc. was a developer of B2B and B2C mobile phone- and web-based software applications. Primary customers included individual mobile phone users, large corporations and mobile carriers.

Co-founded and led the start-up of this innovative software applications company. Developed the infrastructure, managed capitalization efforts and led entry into the mobile phone application market. Led the sale of the company’s software technology and all associated IP to Bio-Imaging Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: BITI).

InSight was a provider of international content delivery and bandwidth services for online and traditional media companies, and related services for the government, corporate and educational industries.

Co-founded the company, architected a unique business model and assembled a team of top performing leaders to navigate the company through a highly competitive market. Grew revenue to $17 million in three years and led a successful exit with a 14X return on invested capital.

Aero Communications / Fulton Technologies was a private equity portfolio company of Resilience Capital Partners.  Aero provided fulfillment and engineering services to the broadband and wireless industries. Worked closely with the President and CEO, the private equity sponsor and other board members to optimize this company prior to its sale.

FanDistro helps artists leverage their fan base to create new fans and to distribute their music in a socially-aware way. The platform allows artists to create and manage rewards for fans who promote the artist in  their social networks.

Executive Vice President (Divisional President)

Globecast, a division of the Orange Group, is a global leader in media delivery, telecommunications networking, digital video program origination, audio distribution and direct-to-home consumer satellite services.

Recruited by the Board of Directors to initially turn around the international sales organization; subsequently promoted to restructure  and lead the entire division that had suffered $10 million loss the prior year. Grew revenue to $105 million and returned the company to profitability within the first year.
